The vehicles must only be used for the insured business only and will exclude all usage for hire or reward e.g. taxis, matatus and any general carriage of goods for reward.
Carriage of passengers can added in this class but at a modest fee.
Motor Private
These vehicles must be used for social, domestic and pleasure purposes only.
Motor Cycles – Used for the insured’ business only
SCOPE OF THE COVER
Three types of covers can be bought for each category of vehicles;
- Comprehensive cover. This covers the policyholder against accidental loss or damage to the vehicle. This protects you from liabilities arising out of vehicle accidents, fire, theft as well as injuries and damage to property belonging to third party persons. It extends the cover to effects of floods, Earthquakes etc
- Third Party Only cover. This covers the legal liability of the owner or driver to Third party persons against injuries or damage to their property.
- Third party fire and theft cover. In addition to Third Party cover, it extends to cover fire and theft to the vehicle subject to the policy terms.
